New to Grow
Whether you're going through a difficult life transition, trying to improve your relationships, or seeking personal growth, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way. My name is Anna Borrelli and I have been a therapist for 4 years which has allowed me to work with a variety of differing experiences. My therapeutic framework stems from the view that therapy is a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing. It is not a linear process to reach your goals but I believe it is a rewarding one.
First sessions are all about getting to know you and what inspired you to take the step towards change. Whether you are new to therapy or a seasoned client, my greatest priority is to make you feel comfortable, safe, and heard. I recognize that there may be a lot of baggage you are carrying and you may not feel inclined to share your whole life story with me in a first session- and that is totally okay! I also acknowledge that you are an expert of your own experiences. I approach the therapeutic relationship with tremendous respect for you, your past, your culture, and any aspect of your identity. Come as you are and you will be welcomed into a space that makes you feel appreciated for you.
In sessions, I pull from a variety of tools and techniques to help you get to the heart of what is going on and to find strategies to feel better so that you can move forward with lasting change. My approach to therapy is collaborative and individualized to your needs, values, and identity in order to help you recognize your strengths and overcome the challenges that you feel you need to address. My professional experience includes being an outpatient therapist for individuals and couples, a school counselor, an intensive in-home therapist, and a group facilitator for anger management and relationship courses. As your therapist, my goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and develop tools to create a more fulfilling and balanced life.
