As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am deeply passionate about helping clients heal from their past and become the best versions of themselves. With years of experience working with intensive therapeutic models, I have developed a straightforward and effective approach to therapy. I graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned my Master of Social Work from The University of Alabama. I am certified in Family Centered Therapy (FCT), Mindfulness, Meditation, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), which equips me to address a wide range of issues with evidence-based techniques. I truly believe in the transformative power of therapy and am dedicated to supporting you on your journey toward healing. I commend you for taking the first step in addressing your mental health and look forward to working together to help you achieve your goals.
In our first session, you can expect us to focus on building rapport. You will have the opportunity to share your story, and I will primarily listen. My goal is to understand your experiences and collaborate with you to create a plan for moving forward. I strive to establish a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can express yourself freely—whether that means cursing, venting, or crying. This is your personal space, and there’s no need for apologies.
My greatest strength is my authenticity. I show up as my true self, bringing a wealth of tools and knowledge to help you navigate life. Ultimately, you are in control of your journey. I meet you where you are and act as a supportive guide rather than a leader. I excel in my role because I can relate to the challenges you face. Life happens to me, too, and I use my personal experiences along with my professional expertise to support your healing. I believe that every client comes to me for a reason, and I am dedicated to serving and guiding you towards your path to healing.
I encourage mindfulness practices such as meditation, visualization, and affirmations. This approach is compelling for improving mental well-being and overall quality of life
You are the expert of your life and experiences; I guide you, provide a new perspective, and challenge you to grow.
