I am a proud Indigenous woman. I have over 20 years of experience working as a leader, psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and coach. Although I consider myself a specialist in trauma treatment, I work with clients on a broad range of challenges. The therapeutic modalities that I utilize in practice are based on client need, however may include: CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, supportive and others.
My therapy style is eclectic, warm, intuitive and interactive. For those interested, I can also integrate spiritual knowledge and practices into your therapy as well. Sessions will utilize education, dialogue & skills building. We will strive to close each session with a mutually agreed upon homework assignment to work on until the next session.
I currently maintain a very small private practice, as I feel take the healing journeys of my clients very seriously. I want my clients to receive the attention they deserve throughout our partnership.
Psychological challenges often result from unhelpful thinking patterns, negative core beliefs about one self and learned patterns of unhelpful behavior. Clients will learn how to complete a self assessment of these areas, become more mindful of when they are experiencing unhelpful thought patterns or being driven by negative core beliefs. They will then learn skills to help them change or cope with these thought patterns to alter their behavior in response to them.

This approach is used to enhance a patient's motivation to change by means of four guiding principles, represented by the acronym RULE: Resist the righting reflex; Understand the patient's own motivations; Listen with empathy; and Empower the patient. This allows for therapeutic work to be geared to where the client is at within their journey towards a healthier life.
