(she/her)
Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the State of California. I have been a practicing social worker for 25 years. I primarily work with individuals in their mid-life years, particularly those experiencing major life transitions. I have special training in working with couples navigating new parenthood. I support clients working toward decreasing the external stressors in their lives.
In our first session, we will do some brief introductions and then check in on what has worked and has not worked for you in the past. Then we can focus on the specific situation bringing you to therapy.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative, focused on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. By fostering a deep understanding of yourself and your challenges, we can work together to develop practical strategies for moving forward with confidence and clarity. I am here to help you create lasting change, empower you to move forward with confidence, and support you in achieving your personal and professional goals. If you're ready to explore new possibilities and work through life’s challenges with a compassionate and skilled therapist, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can create a plan that helps you thrive in this important chapter of your life.
My ideal therapy client is in the perinatal or postpartum stage, navigating not only the transition into parenthood but a deeper shift in identity. They may be pregnant, newly postpartum, or parenting a young child while also facing changes like returning to work, switching careers, or redefining their goals. Many come to therapy saying they feel lost, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to balance everything in their lives. The client is thoughtful and open to reflection, wanting more than quick fixes—they’re open and ready for a shift in their life. While they may experience anxiety, burnout, mood shifts, or relationship strain, they are also resilient and motivated to grow. They are not just looking to cope, but to understand themselves more deeply during this season of change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a combination of Motivational Interviewing along with Solution Focused therapy to help clients move through the therapeutic process.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
The use of Mindfulness Based Therapy can help quite the noise of the outside world so we can focus on what Brought someone to therapy.
