New to Grow

I'm a licensed psychologist who believes that life doesn't just have to be about our problems and our areas for growth. I believe there can also be space for cultivating more joy, fulfillment, and a deeper sense of meaning. Therapy allows us to address the challenges, explore stories and patterns, as well as celebrate the good and the growth. I'm here to partner with you to build a life of holistic wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I know it can be challenging to open up about your experiences, thoughts, feelings and struggles. For this reason, my first goal is to begin to create a warm environment where you can feel safe to remove the mask and just be. In our first session you can expect that I want to get to know you for you. We will have discussions about your upbringing, important people in your life, your culture, values, and your goals for therapy. I also want to know what is working well in your life so we can build upon your skills and resources.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In my work with clients we laugh, challenge, cry, get curious. My approach is collaborative, empowering, and supportive. I believe balance is important. So, in therapy we work to balance building skills and exploring experiences that may be keeping you stuck.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with high achieving Black women who are chronically overwhelmed and exhausted from being the one everyone depends on. Through our work together, I help my clients reorganize their priorities, set boundaries, decrease their stress, manage the guilt of saying "no", and learn to rest. Our time in therapy empowers my clients to get back to themselves and reconnect with joy to lead fulfilling lives.

My treatment methods

Integrative

My approach to therapy includes an integration of person centered therapy, womanist psychology, and cognitive behavioral therapy. With these approaches, we're exploring your concerns from various lenses including considering the kind of person you want to be (your true self), how you're interpreting and responding to things, as well as how your culture and system factors influences your well-being. My approach to therapy is flexible, collaborative, and dynamic.
