LPC, 18 years of experience
New to Grow
With over 18 years of experience in the area of behavioral health and substance abuse. My approach to therapy is meeting individuals where they are and working collectively to get back to a place of life balance. My primary focus areas are anxiety, depression, and anger management for adults, children, and adolescents. My primary therapies to approach are CBT and person-centered therapy.
During the first session, clients should expect that session to be spent on the reason for coming to therapy and what they hope to accomplish.
I was attracted to a career as a therapist because I always wanted to help people in a way that they could feel good about themselves and always know that anyone has the capability to reinvent themselves in a positive way. I am driven by this work because I want to help people see the potential and good in themselves.
I typically work with adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, anger issues, relationship issues, and self-esteem issues. I create a very comfortable and calm setting for my client. Clients will feel connected because of my approach to them and the ease of talking with me. My goal is to set goals that clients agree they want to work on, to give them control of their treatment plan, and what is vital to them for recovery and healing.
I use CBT to help individuals process negative thinking and reframe those thoughts in order to change behaviors. The individual can process behaviors through completion of homework assignments and activities conducted during therapy.
