Hi, I'm Celeste! I am passionate about helping people live a happier life- whether that means learning how to better manage anxiety, working through traumas, or developing a kinder inner monologue. I believe in order to make any changes, we must first understand how we got here. That is why I place a big emphasis on insight and help you understand how you got where you are, why it makes sense, and how we can change it. I love mixing and matching approaches to best suit your individual needs. I often use psychodynamic theory, which looks at childhood experiences and the subconscious and Cognitive Behavioral Theory, which looks at the interaction between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I assist clients in exploring holistic modalities, such as spirituality, chakra systems and sacred plant medicines, to aid in their healing process. I also focus on somatics, or the body. In our work together we will explore the signals your body is sending you and how to regulate them. I believe the most important thing in our time together is that you feel heard, seen, and supported- my job is to offer a supportive environment, in which you feel safe to explore who you are. My goal for you is to build a bigger, happier life filled with self-awareness. I know that journey can be difficult and so I am here to walk with you and support you through it. I view it as an honor to guide a client back to themselves and assist in building a more fulfilling and enjoyable life!
In our first session, I will learn about what is bringing you to therapy and you will also learn about my style as therapist. I will ask questions to gather some information and answer any questions you may have. We will move at a pace that feels most comfortable to you, where you decide how much or little you feel comfortable sharing.
My biggest strength is teaching how to challenge the anxious or critical voice that we all have, to create lasting change in your life.
I use Psychodynamic theory to understand your past and how it is currently impacting you. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to understand how your thoughts are impacting your feelings, sense of self, and behaviors. I use mindfulness to rebuild the connection between you and your body.
