New to Grow
Hello, and welcome. I'm Diane Littel, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, holistic practitioner, and founder of Earthways Healing. For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of helping individuals heal from trauma, navigate life's challenges, and reconnect with their authentic selves. I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all. That's why I provide IntuitiveCare, it's a more personalized, integrative approach that combines evidence-based psychotherapy with holistic and intuitive practices to support healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Drawing from approaches such as Brainspotting, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, mindfulness, somatic healing, and nervous system regulation, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs, goals, and readiness for change. At the heart of IntuitiveCare™ is the belief that you already possess the inner wisdom needed for healing. My role is to help you uncover that wisdom, gently process what has been holding you back, and support you in creating lasting change. Whether you're healing from trauma, managing anxiety or depression, navigating grief, relationship challenges, addiction recovery, or seeking greater purpose and balance, I will meet you where you are with compassion, curiosity, and respect. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel truly seen, heard, and empowered. Together, we'll work toward helping you build resilience, strengthen your connection with yourself, and move forward with greater confidence, peace, and authenticity. Wherever you are on your journey, you don't have to walk it alone.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel a mix of emotions. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and free to be yourself. During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what challenges you're experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to tell your entire story in one session—we'll move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. Using the IntuitiveCare approach, I'll begin to understand not only your current concerns but also your strengths, values, support system, and the experiences that have shaped your life. Together, we'll identify your goals and begin creating a personalized treatment plan that fits your unique needs. Depending on your comfort level, I may also introduce grounding techniques or simple nervous system regulation exercises to help you leave the session feeling more centered. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. Whether we incorporate Brainspotting, EMDR, somatic therapy, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), or other evidence-based approaches, we'll decide together what feels like the best fit for your healing journey. Most importantly, our first session is about building trust and creating a strong therapeutic relationship. Healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood, and I'm honored to walk alongside you every step of the way.
One of the greatest strengths I bring to therapy is not only my professional training, it's also my lived experience. Having navigated my own journey of trauma, recovery, grief, healing, and personal transformation, I understand what it feels like to do the difficult work of healing. While your story is uniquely your own, I approach each session with genuine compassion, authenticity, and the belief that lasting change is possible. Clients often tell me they appreciate my ability to create a calm, grounded presence where they feel safe enough to explore even the most difficult parts of their lives. I am comfortable sitting in silence, allowing space for reflection, emotion, and insight without rushing the process. I believe some of the deepest healing happens in those quiet moments when you are given the opportunity to truly connect with yourself. At the same time, I know that growth sometimes requires gentle challenge. I pay close attention to your readiness and recognize when it's appropriate to encourage you to look at patterns, beliefs, or behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. My approach balances compassion with accountability—I will support you, yet, I won't simply tell you what you want to hear. Instead, I'll ask thoughtful questions, offer honest observations, and help you discover your own answers in a way that feels empowering rather than overwhelming. Through this IntuitiveCare approach, I integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with holistic, somatic, and intuitive practices, tailoring each session to your individual needs. Rather than following a rigid formula, I trust both clinical expertise and the therapeutic relationship to guide the process. My goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered to move toward a life that feels more authentic, connected, and aligned with who you truly are.
I work best with adults who are ready to better understand themselves, heal from past experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, substance use recovery, life transitions, or the effects of chronic stress. They may feel stuck in old patterns, disconnected from themselves, or overwhelmed by emotions, yet are motivated to explore new ways of healing. I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed environment that integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with mind-body approaches, helping clients develop emotional resilience, strengthen relationships, reconnect with their authentic selves, and build lives aligned with their values. Whether your goals are healing unresolved trauma, improving emotional regulation, enhancing self-worth, or fostering personal and spiritual growth, I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you throughout your journey.
Other specialties
I identify as
Attachment-based
Attachment-Based Theory is integrated into my practice by helping clients understand how early relationships and life experiences influence their current patterns of connection, emotional regulation, trust, and intimacy. Together, we identify attachment styles, explore relational wounds, and develop healthier ways of connecting with self and others. Through a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed therapeutic relationship, I help clients strengthen emotional security, improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, and build more secure, fulfilling relationships.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is integrated into my practice as a brain-body therapy that helps access and process trauma, emotional distress, and deeply held experiences that may be difficult to reach through traditional talk therapy alone. By identifying specific eye positions, or "brainspots," clients are able to access the brain's natural healing capacity, allowing unresolved experiences to be processed in a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment. Brainspotting can help reduce emotional distress, improve nervous system regulation, and promote lasting healing and resilience.
Eclectic
Eclectic Therapy is integrated into my practice by drawing from a variety of evidence-based and holistic therapeutic approaches to meet each client's unique needs, goals, and strengths. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment by combining modalities such as Brainspotting, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, somatic therapies, and attachment-based interventions. This individualized, trauma-informed approach supports healing of the mind, body, and spirit while promoting resilience, personal growth, and lasting change.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is integrated into my practice by helping clients explore and understand the different "parts" of themselves—such as protective parts, wounded parts, and the core Self. Rather than viewing these parts as problems, IFS recognizes that each developed for a reason, often to help individuals survive difficult experiences. Through a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and trauma-informed approach, clients learn to build relationships with their internal system, heal emotional wounds, reduce inner conflict, and access their innate qualities of calm, confidence, compassion, curiosity, courage, clarity, creativity, connectedness, and self-leadership. This process fosters greater emotional balance, resilience, and authentic living.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Therapy is integrated into my practice by helping clients cultivate present-moment awareness with openness, curiosity, and self-compassion. Through mindfulness practices, clients learn to observe their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment, reducing reactivity and increasing emotional regulation. By developing greater awareness of internal experiences, clients can better manage stress, anxiety, depression, trauma responses, and difficult life transitions. Mindfulness supports nervous system regulation, enhances resilience, and empowers individuals to respond to life's challenges with greater clarity, balance, and intention.
