Deborah Cluff
I’m a licensed psychotherapist with a Master's in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Depth Psychotherapy. My approach is collaborative, depth-oriented, and integrative, drawing from mindfulness, somatic awareness, creativity, and experiential practices.
As a psychotherapist and creativity coach, I provide the space for you to claim your inner authority and live with a renewed sense of purpose and congruence.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity, relationships, creativity, and questions of meaning and purpose. I’m especially interested in helping people understand the deeper patterns shaping their lives and translate insight into meaningful change.
First session
In your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming space where you’ll be invited to share what’s bringing you to therapy at your own pace. We’ll explore your current concerns, gather some background, and begin identifying the goals you’d like to work toward. I’ll also introduce how I work—drawing from mindfulness, somatic awareness, and creative approaches—so you have a sense of what our sessions might feel like. Most importantly, the first session is about creating a sense of safety, trust, and collaboration so we can move forward in a way that feels aligned.
Strengths
I bring curiosity, warmth, depth, and a genuine respect for each person’s individual process. I’m comfortable working with both practical concerns and the less obvious layers beneath them—patterns, emotions, images, intuition, and questions of identity or purpose. My style is collaborative and engaged, with an emphasis on helping you develop greater clarity and turn insight into meaningful change.
Ideal clients
I work best with people who are curious, open, and introspective; individuals who are seeking deeper self-understanding and meaningful change. People that may be navigating life transitions, spiritual questions, creative blocks, or career changes. Ideally, you are open to mindfulness, somatic work, and creative expression, and a deep desire to reconnect with their inner wisdom, authenticity, and vitality.
Treatment methods
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In therapy, I use mindfulness to help clients develop present-moment awareness and foster a nonjudgmental relationship with their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. Mindfulness practices are integrated into sessions through grounding techniques, breath awareness, and gentle inquiry to support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and build self-compassion. These tools empower clients to pause, notice patterns, and respond more intentionally in their daily lives.
