Hello! I am a masters level social worker in Michigan. I received my Masters from Western Michigan University and have been practicing for over 3 years now. My clients are the only ones who can truly understand their stories, but I feel honored that I can learn about the lives of others in a way that helps us work together to create a person centered plan for change.
The first session will include gathering background information on who you are throughout all aspects of your life. We are a culmination of our experiences and learning more about you helps us work together to develop a plan for who you want to be and what you want to change.
I am an avid active listener and feel one of my greatest strengths is my ability to foster a safe and non judgmental space that my clients feel comfortable expressing themselves in.
I understand getting connected to therapy can be a scary and nerve-wracking experience, but taking that first step can open up a world of possibilities. I am here to help those that are struggling in their daily lives to get through those seemingly impossible tasks, to manage their anxiety, and anyone that wants to work on improving their emotional well-being. I meet with clients on a biweekly basis.
CBT is used for a wide array of mental health conditions, some of which include anxiety and depression. CBT helps us examine our thoughts, actions, and feelings in a way that allows us to challenge unhelpful thinking and learn healthier coping mechanisms.
