LICSW, 8 years of experience
I am a licensed psychotherapist in Washington, DC who has practiced as a social worker, spiritual director, and bereavement counselor for over 15 years. I have a Masters of Divinity from Duke University and a Masters of Social Worker from Catholic University of America. I specialize in supporting individuals through the grief journey, whether it is associated with the transition of a loved one, an ending of a relationship, relocation, or loss of a sense of self or unrealized dream. Grief is grief and it deserves to be honored, seen, and healed.
In our first session together, we will create a safe space to explore your goals in therapy, assess your desired outcomes, and create a treatment plan tailored to meet your specific needs.
Having worked as a clinician for 20 years, I am uniquely skilled to hold safe space for clients at their most vulnerable moments. I am trained to move through the deeper layers of a client's emotional reservoir so we can heal the root cause of client symptoms using a holistic approach.
I am best positioned to serve those who are looking for a holistic approach to therapy. I believe in an integrative practice as we have so many layers: physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. Therefore, I tend to work with clients who desire a spiritual/energetic approach to therapy.

Love me some Katherine. It’s comforting to have a safe space… to express myself, to let my walls down, to be vulnerable. Enjoying having her along for this journey.

Katherine is great at pinpointing key issues and digging into them while giving me the freedom to chart my own path. She pushes me and I can see (and feel) the progress over time. Katherine is a stellar therapist. Highly recommend!

I specialize in navigating individuals through the grief journey by using talk therapy along with integrative practices such as energy psychology and spiritual modalities. This approach supports looking at the client as a whole person and moving through the many layers of grief with integrity.
