Hi! I'm a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) with five years of experience as a nurse practitioner and three years specializing in mental health. I earned my Doctorate from the University of South Florida. In my practice, I work with clients of all ages, from children to older adults, helping them navigate challenges such as depression, bipolar disorder, and mood disorders. My goal is to empower individuals to develop resilience and achieve their best selves. My Initial evaluation fee is $250 for 60 minutes and my follow up fee is 165$ for 30 minutes.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In their first session with me, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can feel safe to share their thoughts and concerns. We’ll start with a brief introduction, followed by a discussion about their reasons for seeking help and any specific challenges they’re facing. I’ll ask questions to understand their background and experiences better. Together, we’ll set goals for treatment and I’ll explain my approach and how we can work together to address their needs. Ultimately, my aim is to establish a collaborative relationship and help clients feel empowered from the very beginning of their journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths as a provider include my ability to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. I’m a strong listener, which helps me truly understand their needs and perspectives. My adaptability allows me to tailor my therapeutic approaches to fit each individual, ensuring they receive the most relevant support. Additionally, my dedication to ongoing learning keeps me informed about the latest evidence-based practices, which enhances the care I provide. Ultimately, I aim to foster a collaborative partnership that empowers clients to navigate their challenges with confidence.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am well-positioned to serve a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. While I don't specialize in a specific field, I am dedicated to helping individuals struggling with issues like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and mood disorders. My approach is adaptable, allowing me to meet the unique needs of each person seeking support.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns that affect their emotions and behaviors. I’ve found it effective across various populations, from adolescents with anxiety to adults dealing with depression. By creating a safe environment, I guide my clients in challenging their beliefs and developing healthier coping strategies. My approach is tailored to individual needs, incorporating techniques like cognitive restructuring and mindfulness to empower clients.

Psychoeducation

I emphasize psychoeducation as a vital component of my practice. I believe that empowering clients with knowledge about their mental health conditions helps demystify their experiences and promotes active participation in their treatment. During sessions, I provide information on symptoms, coping strategies, and the effects of various treatments, ensuring clients feel informed and supported. This collaborative approach will not only enhances your understanding but also fosters resilience and confidence in managing your mental health.
