Prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I spent many years as a Psych RN as well.
I provide evidence-based, compassionate, holistic care with a focus on medication management and supportive therapy. Clinical specialties include mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma-related conditions. I strive to create a collaborative, judgment-free space where clients feel heard and empowered in their care.
First session
During the initial evaluation, we review your medical and psychiatric history and identify current concerns, prioritizing those that most significantly impact your daily functioning. Together, we will develop an individualized treatment plan grounded in functional goals to clearly and realistically define what clinical improvement looks like for each patient. Progress is measured by improvements in coping, daily functioning, and overall quality of life. For some patients, symptom reduction may be sufficient to meet treatment goals, while for others, success may be defined differently based on individual needs and circumstances.
Strengths
My approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and evidence-based. Clients are active participants in their care, and I emphasize education and shared decision-making. Treatment is approached as a partnership to support improved mental health and overall functioning.
Ideal clients
If you're seeking thoughtful, compassionate, and evidence-based psychiatric care to support your mental and emotional well-being; possibly experiencing symptoms such as anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, sleep difficulties, difficulty with focus, or challenges related to life transitions, relationships, work, or overall functioning-welcome. Some may have a diagnosis or treatment history, while others may simply know that they are not feeling like themselves and want professional support to better understand what is happening. If you value being listened to, respected, and involved in decisions about your care, we are here.
