(she/her)
Hello! I'm glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas with over 10 years of clinical experience. I have a wide range of experience working with adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. I specialize in helping women struggling with self-esteem, life transitions, family and marital stress, and navigating relationships with others and yourself. I help you identify stagnant points in your life, and get to the root of them, so you can begin showing up and living a more authentic and fulfilled life.
Our first session will begin with a brief introduction, and a focus on gathering background information, as well as the primary reason for your visit. Throughout the therapy process, there will be a beginning, middle and end. I begin our time together with keeping the end in mind. I consider where you are today and where you would like to be in the future. We begin discussing goals and objectives fairly early on. Sometimes it can be difficult to identify and establish goals, and that's okay. We'll collaborate together to begin developing a roadmap, and I can certainly help if you're feeling stuck. Having a plan and direction aids in future sessions and ultimately helps you get the most out of our time together.
My experience working with diverse populations for over 10 years have shaped and molded my approach to therapy. I consider one of my greatest strengths to be the ability to listen for understanding rather than to respond. I remove any preconceived notions and see each person as a unique individual with their own story. This allows me to meet you precisely where you are in your journey. I see myself as a multifaceted and adaptable counselor. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy. I enjoy the challenge of finding unique solutions tailored to each individual.
I enjoy working with young adults who are stuck in cyclical patterns of thoughts and behaviors that are no longer serving them. My clients are motivated and ready for change but searching for direction, and guidance, to identify new insights, along with coping skills to help them move forward. They often feel trapped, stressed, overwhelmed and anxious because of their current situation. They can identify the surface level problem but strive to go deeper in understanding themselves and the circumstances surrounding them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which focuses on thought patterns that are no longer serving you. We work together to create alternative thoughts and perspectives to facilitate more adaptive behaviors and emotions. This method helps create a healthier relationship with others and yourself.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I provide culturally sensitive therapy which focuses on the individual, and meeting each person where they are. Culture is not a monolithic entity, and each person has their own unique cultural experience. I consider myself a sounding board, who listens for understanding and with empathy with a great respect of the unique cultural experiences you bring into the therapeutic space.
Faith based therapy
I am comfortable exploring faith as it relates to your healing process. Faith and spirituality can be an excellent source of comfort and coping. If you are looking to dive deeper into the role this plays in your life I'm willing to take that step with you.
Narrative
Sometimes individuals get stuck in their own story and forget that their lens is not the only lens. The perspective you take in the story can be broadened if you consider the lens and viewpoint of others involved. Narrative Therapy is a form of treatment that helps individuals explore and reshape their experiences to better serve them and enhance their life, and relationships.

Dr Anne was very open and understanding. She asked questions that made me feel comfortable enough to come out of the shell that I had prior to joining the call. She also let me fully lay it all out and built upon what I said. Very helpful because I really just felt like I was going to explode. I look forward to working with her
