New to Grow
My name is Neidy (like LADY with an N - pronounced Nay-D). My approach combines a few different therapies, but at its core, it is practical, collaborative, and focused on your goals. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. This means we will look at how your current thought patterns might be keeping you stuck, while actively focusing on what you want your future to look like and the strengths you already have to get there.
Our initial meeting is a foundational step designed to ensure you get exactly what you need out of therapy. This session is a comprehensive psycho-social assessment where we will look at the whole picture of your life. Together, we will review your current challenges, medical history, and family background to understand the unique context of your experience. Most importantly, we will define your specific treatment goals and establish exactly what you want your future to look like. This session is also a two-way street for us to determine if we are a good fit for your needs; if your goals align with my expertise, we will map out a path forward, and if a different approach would serve you better, I will help connect you with the right resources.
As a therapist and 21-year Army retired veteran, I bring a rare blend of battle-tested resilience, leadership, and deep empathy to the therapeutic space. My clinical approach is grounded not just in theory, but in the authentic, lived experience of overcoming complex life challenges. Having personal experience navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, single parenting, co-parenting, and blended family dynamics, I provide a safe, judgment-free space for clients facing their darkest moments. As a wife, mother, and entrepreneur, I understand the overwhelming pressure of balancing demanding life roles. I partner with my clients to build practical, action-oriented strategies, serving as living proof that you can survive intense adversity and build a thriving, meaningful life.
Ultimately, you are the expert on your own life. I work with all demographics of clients; my job is to help you find the practical, forward-moving steps that work best for you. I specialize in partnering with individuals and families navigating specific life challenges, including: • Anxiety, Depression, and Self-Esteem: Overcoming negative loops and building confidence. • Work-Life Balance and Coping Skills: Managing daily stress and preventing burnout. • Adult ADHD: Creating actionable, real-world strategies that fit your brain. • Single & Co- Parents: Navigating the unique demands and pressures of solo parenting and co-parenting. • Couples Seeking Alignment: Breaking problematic cycles, learning to align, communicate better, conflict resolution, and reconnecting, • Veterans & Military Families: Addressing the specific transitions, deployments, and lifestyle stressors unique to military service.

I identify as
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
In sessions, we will focus on what is working rather than what isn't. We will look for the small moments when things are even a little bit better, figure out how you made that happen, and build on your goals and practical steps, this approach is designed to be brief, positive, and forward-moving.
Couples Counseling
I do not view either of you as the 'problem' in this room; instead, the cycle or pattern between you is what we are here to fix. My role is to act as a neutral guide to help you both feel heard and understood. We will look at how you communicate, map out the repetitive arguments you get stuck in, and figure out what unmet needs are driving those conflicts. From there, we will practice new ways of speaking, listening, and rebuilding emotional safety so you can team up against the problem together.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Instead of trying to fight, change, or get rid of your difficult thoughts and painful feelings, we are going to learn how to make room for them so they lose their power over you. We will work on staying present in the moment and figuring out what truly matters to you—your core values. Once we know what you care about most, we will focus on taking real, practical steps toward building a meaningful life, carrying your thoughts and feelings with you rather than letting them stop you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Our thoughts, our feelings, and our behaviors are all deeply connected. When we get stuck in a negative loop, our thoughts can twist reality and make us feel worse, leading to actions that keep us trapped. In our sessions, we are going to look closely at your automatic thought patterns and see where they might be working against you. Together, we will test those thoughts, reshape the unhelpful ones, and change certain behaviors so you can start feeling better and reacting to stress in a healthier way.
Trauma-Focused CBT
When someone goes through a scary or overwhelming event, it changes how they see themselves and the world, often leaving them feeling unsafe or flooded by memories. We are going to work through this in a safe, step-by-step way at your pace. First, we will learn tools to help you manage strong emotions and calm your body. Then, we will gently talk through what happened to help your brain process the memory, untangle any unfair guilt or blame you are carrying, and help you feel secure and back in control of your life.
