Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Georgia. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia and have been practicing over 30 years. I am passionate, hard-working, and my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment while assisting you with your healing, finding a balance, and helping you become the person you were created to become.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an advocate for my clients and able to comprehensively think through and problem solve issues and barriers. I believe in meeting the client where they are, working with them to reach their goals without imposing judgement. Compassion, loyalty, and dedication are skills I bring to the therapeutic alliance, which helps to build a relationship of trust where all issues can be discussed without concern.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I was trained in CBT, earning an primary certification, and have used my training for the past 30 years. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy works well for clients who are willing and able to focus on current thinking patterns and behaviors. It will help individuals identify and challenge negative thoughts and develop new patterns of thinking which support healthy thoughts and emotions. I utilize CBT practices to help those individuals who desire to identify the underlying beliefs that lead to emotions such as anxiety or challenge depressive thinking patterns that are leading to inaction or self-harming behaviors.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Treatment emphasizes strengths and solutions rather than problems and weaknesses. SFBT works to identify the problem of focus, the interactions that support the focus, and develop a strategy to eliminate the problem's hold on the family or person.
