The heart and intention of how I provide psychopharmacology services is toward supporting others in their living full and authentic lives. Some people benefit from the support of psychiatric medications. I do not see these medications, alone, as solutions. I am a believer in therapy. There may be a chemical component to some diagnoses – depression, anxiety, mood disorders, autism, ADHD. There may be emotional experience with which one struggles that medication support makes less interfering. These are the ways that medications are supportive, yet not solutions. They are one tool of many. I have been a RN since 1987, having worked in varied health care settings and began my appreciation of the resilience and the exquisite beauty of being human. In 16 years of serving as School Nurse at Arlington School, McLean Hospital, I was inspired by teens in their academic, mental health and life journeys that I chose to further my nursing education to study for licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and earned licensure in 2017. My cumulative nursing/nurse practitioner experience has been built upon a holistic appreciation of families, mothers, teens, being female. In this, I deeply enjoy supporting women from teens to adults up to age 60 in their mental well-being and sense of empowerment. I have a special place in my heart for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a PMHNP, I have been prescribing in my private practice while having prescribed in roles at JRI DYS and Wayside Family and Youth. Currently, I am in a role within Atrius Health/Optum and this private practice work is outside of what I do at Atrius.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First time intake appts are 60 minutes. I ask for completion of the Grow intake forms at least two days prior to the intake appt. If they are not, your appointment will be canceled with possibility to be rescheduled, with forms submitted. If you are already prescribed or might be prescribed controlled meds (benzo or stimulant), in-person appts are required in some frequency. Consider your geography in booking with me. In-person appts are case-by-case. Benzo and stem prescribing requires some in-person appts. Once you book, I will contact you to schedule a 15 min, no fee consultation prior to our appt.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a committed and intentional prescriber. I am relational in style. This is not simply prescribing medications as solutions to life's challenges. I see medications as one tool. I provide collaboration with therapists. I encourage participation in therapy, on a case by case basis, in addition to meeting me for psychopharmacology.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, women, LGBTQ + folks. I serve teens, young adults, adults to the age of 60, not beyond.
