LCSW, 15 years of experience
Welcome—I'm glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most difficult and meaningful transitions. My background includes work in medical, mental health, and long-term care settings, giving me a deep understanding of how emotional well-being connects to all aspects of our lives. In therapy, I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we can explore what’s weighing on you and work together to create real, lasting change. I specialize in anxiety, grief, life transitions, and stress-related issues, and I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques to help you feel more grounded and empowered. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to grow, I’ll meet you where you are—with care, curiosity, and respect. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone
In our first session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard and respected. We’ll take time to get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and begin exploring the goals you’d like to work toward. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and what support looks like for you. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—this is your time, and we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable. I’ll also explain how therapy works, what you can expect from me, and answer any questions you may have. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer picture of how we can work together and whether I’m the right fit for your needs. Most importantly, you’ll leave knowing you don’t have to navigate things alone—we’re in this together.
What sets my approach apart is my ability to blend compassion with clarity. I create a space that’s warm and supportive—but also honest and purposeful. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I really see them and help them make meaningful connections between their thoughts, emotions, and patterns. I draw from evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies, but tailor each session to your unique needs, values, and pace. My goal is not just to help you cope, but to help you grow—building insight, emotional strength, and practical tools you can carry into every part of your life. Together, we’ll work to move you from surviving to thriving.
I work best with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break. Many of my clients come to me during major life transitions—grieving a loss, adjusting to a new role, managing chronic stress, or seeking a deeper sense of purpose and peace. I’m especially attuned to those who feel like they’ve always had to be strong for others but are now ready to focus on themselves. Whether you’re navigating burnout, relationship struggles, or persistent self-doubt, I provide a calm, supportive space where you can safely unpack your experiences and build the insight and skills to move forward. If you’re ready to do the inner work and want a therapist who brings both compassion and practical tools, we may be a good fit.
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my clinical work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related symptoms. In my practice, I use CBT as a structured and goal-oriented approach to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop healthier coping strategies. I guide them through exercises that address catastrophic thinking and promote behavioral experiments to gradually reduce avoidance and build confidence. CBT is particularly effective because it is evidence-based and can be tailored to each client's unique needs. I integrate worksheets, journaling, and real-life practice to help reinforce skills between sessions.
