New to Grow
Hi, I’m Kannon. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who takes a collaborative, down-to-earth approach to therapy. I work with people navigating anxiety, relationships, identity, and life transitions, and I tend to follow what’s most present rather than forcing a rigid structure. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, often incorporating somatic awareness and parts work to help you better understand your patterns, feel more grounded, and reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way.
The first session is about creating a space where you can feel comfortable and understood. We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been navigating, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. We’ll move at your pace, and I’ll also share how I work so we can begin building a sense of safety, clarity, and direction together.
3. What stands out about my approach is that I don’t follow a rigid structure—I follow you. I integrate somatic work, parts work (IFS), and relational insight to track what’s happening in real time. I pay attention to both what’s said and what’s felt, helping you understand patterns, build awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I especially enjoy working with individuals within queer and BIPOC communities who are navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions. My work is rooted in a non-hierarchical, anti-oppressive approach that honors and centers your lived experience. Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. Together, we create space to explore those experiences, build clarity, and support you in developing a more grounded and authentic relationship with yourself.
