Eisha Collins
Life has challenges, and we often find ourselves at a crossroads on understanding our personal trials. “If you’re willing to put in the work and motivated for change, I am happy to help you with your journey.” Eisha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology at Thomas Edison State College (2011). Eisha obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Barry University in Miami, FL (2012). After graduating, Eisha assisted those seeking counseling services in a safe, empathic, and therapeutic environment. Eisha has over 15 years of experience working with diverse populations, including military/veterans, inmates, and the elderly. She has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings such as military bases, VA Medical Center, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Eisha has also practiced social work in acute and long-term care facilities. As a Navy veteran and Army “brat,” Eisha understands the difficulty in adjusting to life changes. “I’ve found two things in life that are constant: change and taxes!” “When ready, I can work with you on the first one.” Her focus is substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, stress management, women’s issues, and faith-based issues. Eisha enjoys bowling, traveling, bike riding, and trying anything that involves the outdoors.
First session
Going through life on life's terms, i've experienced my fair share of anxiety, anger, sadness, and fear. These emotions are normal, however it's what we do with them (or not do) that matters. My role is to be a mirror for you. Your role is to have the courage to take a look through that mirror and act accordingly.
Strengths
There are thousands of great therapist our there practicing and that's great. My specialty is to understand where you are at and work on solutions. Although I come from an empathic presence, I am here for one reason: to help you reach your goals. I am empathetic, honest, direct, and no nonsence.
