Are you struggling with painful memories that keep you up at night? Are you wondering if life will ever be normal again? Do you feel like no one understands? You are not alone. Many adults wonder if life will ever get better, after experiencing trauma, grief or difficult relationships. Imagine if you didn’t have to feel this way. It can be a challenge, but people do experience joy again. I make it my goal to be a safe place for those who want to explore concerns, work through painful memories, increase insight and learn healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges. Trauma comes in a variety of forms such as abuse, death of a loved one, divorce, natural disasters, poverty, severe illness, injury or violence. These experiences can lead to symptoms such as anger, anxiety, guilt, unexplained pain, sadness and self-destructive behavior. You can experience freedom from your past and look forward to what’s ahead. I'm committed to walking alongside you, as you heal and discover your full potential.
In your first session, I will get to know you and explore what brought you to therapy. Together, we will discuss your goals and come up with a treatment plan that best fits your needs and desires. We will identify patterns and beliefs, learn healthy coping skills, and reduce disturbances caused by painful memories, allowing you to feel more confident in your ability to handle future situations.
I have 11 years of experience working with individuals and families who have experienced trauma in their life. If you are ready to work through the deep scars that are dragging you down, call me to schedule your first appointment. I look forward to meeting you.
I love working with women struggling to move past their trauma experiences. I also enjoy working with those who are grieving, especially after the loss of a child.
I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy and utilize it with clients who have experienced trauma. I have found it helpful for people that feel like they are stuck in the past.
