New to Grow
Have you been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted trying to manage everything on your own? Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship challenges, or a major life transition. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to build the skills and confidence needed to create meaningful change.
The first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the counseling process. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, but there is no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. My goal is always to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and discussing how therapy can help you move toward the changes you’d like to see in your life.
One of my strengths as a therapist is creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to be open and honest. I take a collaborative approach and focus on meeting clients where they are, while helping them better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My experience working with individuals facing trauma, crisis situations, mood-related concerns, and life stressors has taught me the importance of balancing compassion with practical tools for change. I believe that even during difficult seasons, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and my goal is to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to move forward.
I work best with individuals who feel like they have been carrying a lot on their own for a long time. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or major life changes and are looking for a supportive space to process their experiences and focus on their well-being. I enjoy helping people gain insight into their patterns, build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. If you’re ready to better understand yourself and move toward a healthier, more balanced life, we may be a good fit.
Other specialties
I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person-Centered Therapy is the foundation of my approach. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives and already possess many of the strengths needed for growth and healing. My role is to provide a supportive, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. This approach helps foster self-awareness, confidence, and personal growth at a pace that feels comfortable for each individual.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or unwanted behaviors. Through CBT, clients learn practical skills to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and other challenges while developing healthier ways of thinking and responding to life’s situations. I tailor CBT techniques to each client’s unique needs and goals, helping them create meaningful and lasting change.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their goals, strengthen motivation, and work through ambivalence about change. This approach is collaborative and nonjudgmental, allowing clients to identify their own reasons for growth while building confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes. I often incorporate Motivational Interviewing when working with clients who feel stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed by the changes they want to make in their lives.
