Hello, my name is Erin. Do you feel pulled in different directions and unable to manage all of your stressors? Are you struggling with your close relationships? Is it hard for you to concentrate or feel motivated to make changes? I am an independent social worker and therapist in Columbus, Ohio. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Before that, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the University of North Florida. I have a passion for helping individuals that may be struggling with chronic stress, depression, anxiety, medical issues, grief and relationship issues. My clients are adults of all ages and I utilize a multi-dimensional approach to the therapeutic process. I strongly believe in providing a therapeutic atmosphere where we can establish and build rapport in a trusting and safe space.
When I first meet with clients, I focus on understanding their therapy needs and goals they want to set for treatment.
I will utilize several techniques to help you with your negative self-thoughts and feelings or to cope with problematic relationships. The therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
My biggest strength is that I meet my clients where they are, with a high level of compassion and empathy. I utilize my own unique life experiences of coping with emotional issues to provide a non-judgmental approach to therapy.
