Dr. Renita Hogan obtained her doctorate from Mississippi College, Fall of 2020. In 2015, she earned her Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Delta State University. She provides clinical therapy as well as clinical supervision with 9 years of experience. She is licensed in both MS and TN. She has treated a wide range of disorders.
Within the first session clients can expect for both parties to gain background information( brief history). Clients will express their current challenges. We will collectively come up with a treatment plan that best fits the clients needs. The primary goal is to make sure that my clients feel safe and are will to take the next steps to help with aid in their therapeutic treatment.
Although my attributes may varies over the past 9 years, I have assisted in working and developing a new therapy techniques along side my colleagues to help youth identify ways to expand the life cycles.
I enjoy working with individuals were are intentional about therapeutic process. They are familiar with or will be willing to learn and understand the process of therapy. Openness is key to success.
CBT helps individuals explore unwanted and/or difficult thoughts while help the individual to develop healthier thinking patterns.
Clients will experience realistic focus on current issues while taking responsibility for present issues
While in couples counseling modeling is the primary framework used, there will be open discussions and examination of unwanted behaviors.
