New to Grow
Therapy with me is conversational, compassionate, and grounded. We’ll take time to understand what you’ve been carrying, where patterns may be keeping you stuck, and what you need to feel steadier and more connected. Sometimes that includes learning tools to manage anxiety day-to-day, and other times it means slowing down enough to process deeper and sometimes uncomfortable experiences. There will be moments when I challenge you, but I am right beside you throughout the journey.
During our first session, we will begin getting to know each other in a supportive and comfortable space while also completing a clinical assessment. This assessment helps me better understand your background, current concerns, emotional experiences, and any important areas of your life that may be impacting your well-being. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you have been facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say—this session is simply a starting point. I may ask questions about your history, relationships, and support systems so I can gain a clearer picture of how to best support you. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss how we can move forward in a way that feels helpful and meaningful for you.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and safe to be themselves. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative, allowing clients to openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences without fear of judgment. Clients often appreciate that I balance empathy with insight, helping them gain deeper self-awareness while also guiding them toward healthier perspectives, stronger emotional resilience, and more meaningful relationships.
Many of the clients who connect with me are people who are used to being strong for everyone else but quietly feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of themselves inside. They may struggle with anxiety, overthinking, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I work well with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, heal from past experiences, and learn healthier ways to navigate emotions, boundaries, and relationships. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported while we work together to help you regain clarity, confidence, and a deeper sense of peace in your life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Many people find themselves stuck in cycles of negative thinking, self-doubt, or anxiety that impact their daily life and relationships. Through CBT, I help clients slow down and examine these patterns so they can challenge unhelpful beliefs and develop healthier ways of responding to stress, difficult emotions, and life transitions. My approach is supportive and practical, helping clients build tools they can use in real-life situations.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps clients learn how to navigate difficult thoughts and emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them. Rather than trying to eliminate uncomfortable feelings, ACT focuses on building psychological flexibility—learning how to make room for emotions while still moving toward the life you value. I support clients in clarifying their personal values, developing mindfulness skills, and committing to actions that align with who they want to be, even in the presence of stress, anxiety, or uncertainty.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps clients better understand the deeper emotions that influence how they relate to themselves and others. Many people find that patterns in relationships—such as feeling rejected, misunderstood, or emotionally disconnected—can lead to anxiety, conflict, or loneliness. In our work together, I help clients slow down and explore the underlying emotions and attachment needs that may be driving these experiences. Through this process, clients often gain greater emotional awareness, improve communication, and develop healthier, more secure ways of connecting in their relationships. My approach is supportive, compassionate, and focused on helping clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to create more meaningful connections.
Faith based therapy
For clients who desire it, I offer faith-based (Christian) counseling that thoughtfully integrates spiritual beliefs with evidence-based therapeutic practices. Faith can be a meaningful source of strength, healing, and guidance during life’s challenges. In these sessions, we can explore emotional struggles, personal growth, and decision-making through both a clinical and spiritual lens. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe discussing their faith while also gaining practical tools for emotional well-being and personal development.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
My solution-focused approach centers on helping clients identify their strengths and move toward meaningful change, even when challenges feel overwhelming. Instead of focusing only on the problem, we work together to identify what is already working in your life and how to build on those strengths. I guide clients in setting clear goals and developing practical steps toward progress. Many clients appreciate this approach because it helps them gain momentum, build confidence, and recognize their own capacity to create change.
