(she/her)
Hi, I’m Heather! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and Louisiana, and I’m passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in 2022, and since then I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients. My experience includes supporting individuals in the Texas prison system, children in the care of Child Protective Services, and adults in outpatient settings. These diverse experiences have shaped my belief that everyone deserves a safe, nonjudgmental space to heal, grow, and find hope.
In our first session, we’ll take time to talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. This is your space, so we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we’ll start identifying your goals and create a plan that feels realistic and empowering. In follow-up sessions, we’ll build on that foundation—working through challenges, celebrating progress, and adjusting the plan as your needs grow and change.
I believe one of my greatest strengths is connecting with women in a way that makes them feel understood and valued. Women often carry heavy expectations and face unique pressures, and it can feel isolating. My passion lies in offering a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to carry those burdens alone. Together, we can turn that sense of isolation into one of connection, strength, and hope.
I enjoy working with women who want to feel at peace with who they are inside and out, but sometimes struggle to get there on their own. You may second-guess your decisions, worry about making mistakes, or find yourself being overly self-critical. Feelings of helplessness or hopelessness may weigh heavily on you, and it might feel like true happiness is out of reach. If you can’t remember the last time you felt content, you’re not alone. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner strength, quiet that inner critic, and rediscover a sense of confidence, balance, and joy in your life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with healthier perspectives. Many of us are conditioned to think negatively—often without even realizing it. In our work together, we’ll look at how those patterns affect your daily life and practice strategies to shift them, so you can feel more confident, hopeful, and in control of your future.
