I provide individualized psychiatric care for clients of all ages. I strive for non judgmental and culturally sensitive care for any person suffering with emotional distress or behavioral problems. I am a graduate of Nursing School of University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, where I completed Masters Degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing. I hold a Masters Degree in clinical psychology from University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL, and Ph.D. in public health from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN. The conditions I treat include, but are not limited to depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, stress and trauma related disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, compulsive disorders, OCD, adjustment disorders, and personality disorders.
Our initial session is a psychiatric evaluation or consultation, where we will discuss your goals and needs. We will talk about your current concerns and a little about the past. At the end of the session, we will derive at a diagnosis, if there is one, and we can initiate a treatment, including medications, if there is a need for it, and if that is what you are looking for.
I specialize in complex cases and combined conditions, such as trauma and addictions combined with psychiatric disorders.
I welcome clients of all ages. I love working with families. I am excited about working with adolescents and young adults who seek evaluation and treatment for depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. I also love working with older adults and the elderly. I welcome clients, who feel that they have tried everything, but have not found what works for them. The fact that you are here and still looking tells me that you have the resilience and the fortitude necessary for healing.
I use integrative approach in treatment combining medication and psychopharmacology with behavioral strategies, CBT, and person-centered approach. The choice of a therapy approach is tailored specifically to the client’s needs and preferences.
I have a background in mental health therapy, and I use CBT interventions as a part of treatment for my patients.
My practice offers a safe, compassionate space for all minorities, and in particular for people with an immigration background.
Judaism based approach is offered to people with Jewish background. I focus on personal and generational trauma of Jewish people, and on the complexities of navigating life in a Western society.
