and create meaningful, lasting change while building confidence, resilience, self-awareness, and hope for the future.
First session
Our first session focuses on understanding your story, concerns, and goals. I’ll provide a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can speak openly at your own pace. Together, we’ll identify your priorities and begin developing a personalized approach. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, supported, and hopeful about the possibilities ahead.
Strengths
I bring empathy, clinical experience, cultural awareness, and thoughtful honesty into every session. I listen without judgment, challenge unhelpful patterns when appropriate, and collaborate with clients to develop practical strategies that support lasting emotional growth.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions. They may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, emotionally exhausted, or uncertain about their future. I welcome individuals seeking a compassionate, judgment-free space to explore their experiences, rediscover their strengths, and develop practical strategies for healing, resilience, and meaningful personal growth. Together, we can work toward greater emotional balance, self-awareness, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Treatment methods
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions while focusing on what matters most to them. Through mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based strategies, we work toward greater psychological flexibility, helping you move forward with purpose even when life’s challenges cannot be immediately resolved.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop practical coping strategies. My goal is to help you build healthier perspectives, manage emotional challenges, and make meaningful changes in your daily life.
Faith-based therapy
For clients who desire it, I integrate faith, spirituality, and personal beliefs into the therapeutic process. Drawing upon my background in counseling and ministry, I help clients explore how their spiritual values can support emotional healing, resilience, and personal growth. Faith-based counseling is always guided by your preferences, beliefs, and individual therapeutic goals.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify achievable goals and build upon strengths and resources they already possess. Rather than focusing exclusively on problems, we explore what is working, recognize previous successes, and develop practical steps toward improvement. This approach encourages hope, confidence, and meaningful progress through realistic, solution-oriented strategies.
Strength-Based
I use Strengths-Based Therapy to help clients recognize their abilities, resilience, and personal resources, even during difficult circumstances. Together, we identify the qualities and experiences that have helped you overcome previous challenges and explore how to build upon them. My approach emphasizes empowerment, self-confidence, and the belief that meaningful growth begins by recognizing the strengths you already possess.
