I specialize in women's issues and life transitions. I am certified in addiction and have worked with high functioning individuals with addiction (gaming, alcohol, nicotine, etc.). My treatment approach is eclectic and I use interventions based on CBT, IPT, ACT. My style is empathic, non-judgmental, interactive and collaborative. I can offer telehealth session in English, Gujrati, Hindi and Marathi. I work with women's issues and parenting issues. I offer couples and family therapy along with trauma support. I provide Gender Affirmation Surgery Assessment and letters for 18+. I am an immigrant myself and can relate to the stress and trauma of immigration. I have lived experiences in addition to my professional and academic experience. I am a parent, wife, sister, daughter and navigate and juggle multiple roles in my personal life. I can empathize with the stress of day to day living as well as major life changes.
In the initial session I let the client lead the session, I like to get information on background, family, past relevant history and work towards setting some goals and objectives to work towards it.
