Hello, my name is Jacquelyn Jamason. Some of my clients call me JJ. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and have a lifetime of experience supporting others through challenging times. We all need help sometimes, there is no shame in asking for it. If you are looking for a therapist that you can feel comfortable with and who you know will hold a safe and judgmental free space, come on in! I look forward to working with you on your journey to healing and self-discovery.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I offer Remote, Phone, In-Person, Walk & Talk Therapy and Life Coaching: Walk/Talk therapy services provide a solution for individuals who wish to attend therapy sessions in an alternative manner, moving unwanted energy, trauma and other emotions through and out of the body. According to new research, there is evidence that "creativity, self-awareness, emotional awareness in addition to other positive therapy outcomes can heighten during movement. That may have to do with greater blood flow to the brain, the activation or deactivation of specific brain centers and probably with some kind of distraction element that allows the mind to become clearer". ~Kate Hays, PhD, of The Performing Edge in Toronto

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

It is my life mission to help people find hope and healing. Some of my specialties are: Grief/Loss (Child Loss), Sports Therapy, Addictions, Life Coaching, and Couples and Family sessions upon request. I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community and advocate. I have extensive experience treating most issues relating to coming out, transitioning, internalized homophobia and more. An intervention can be a life-saving decision, especially for individuals who are not aware that they can greatly benefit from therapy.
