I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, with 15+ years of experience in Counseling clients age 7 to 75, from varying backgrounds, races, values, identities, and life experiences. I believe strongly that personal growth requires having someone in your corner and I would love to be that unbiased someone, providing a therapeutic space that is individualized and collaborative and having your best-interest, needs, and life goals as our top priority.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

With each client’s unique needs and goals in mind, we will develop a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, as well as a therapeutic plan that will provide you with the tools needed to evolve, heal, understand, or move forward in your life. Together, we will strive toward the ultimate outcome: a stronger, more skillful you, who is ready and better equipped to take on life's challenges.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am more casual than I am clinical and tend to build rapport quickly. I provide client centered therapy, drawing from therapeutic modalities such as Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Strength Based Counseling, all things Mindfulness, and Impact Therapy, to name a few.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with Clients ages 7 and older, treating symptoms of depression or anxiety, life changes/transitions, grief/loss, trauma, identity, self-esteem, or stressors related to work, school, family, or relationships. I do not provide services for the following: Substance Use Disorders, addiction, eating disorders

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding and disrupting the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can often lead to positive growth and development in how we think, act, and respond to our feelings.

Couples Counseling

Through alternating individual and couple's sessions, we will work toward mutually established goals/growth areas, learning tools, skills, and changes needed for improved relationship satisfaction.

Strength-Based

A Therapy experience focused on utilizing our personal strengths, and developing new strengths, can help a person heal, grow, and change.

Grief Therapy

Therapy focused on loss (of any kind) can allow us to live as an informed, active participant in our grief process. Losses include, and are not limited to: death of a person, death of an animal, divorce, ending of a friendship, loss of a job, relocation, or major life change/transition.

Motivational Interviewing

MI can help someone reflect, process, evaluate and move through their experiences.
