You may appear successful on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. Perhaps you’re struggling with the effects of trauma, difficult relationships, chronic stress, parenting challenges, or patterns that seem to repeat no matter how hard you try to change them. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trauma therapist, EMDR therapist, and attachment-based parent educator dedicated to helping adolescents, adults, and families create meaningful, lasting change. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of adverse experiences across the lifespan.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I’ll spend time learning about your story, what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’re experiencing, and the goals you hope to achieve. We’ll also explore your strengths, support system, and the experiences that have shaped you. Most importantly, we’ll begin building a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, respect, and psychological safety. This session is not about having all the answers—it’s about understanding where you are today and creating a plan for where you want to go.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is both evidence-based and holistic. I believe symptoms often make sense when viewed through the lens of a person’s experiences, relationships, and nervous system. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I help clients understand the root causes of their struggles while building the skills and resilience needed to move forward with confidence. My areas of expertise include: * Trauma and complex trauma * EMDR therapy * Anxiety and chronic stress * Attachment and relationship difficulties * Emotional regulation and nervous system healing * Adolescent mental health * Family dynamics and parent-child relationships * Parenting education through an attachment-based lens * Self-esteem, identity development, and life transitions * Burnout, compassion fatigue, and caregiver stress My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and direct. Clients often appreciate my ability to balance compassion with practical guidance. Together, we will work to uncover patterns, process difficult experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and empowered. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your adolescent, or your family, I strive to create a therapeutic experience that fosters growth, connection, and lasting transformation.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Everything I do is grounded in a trauma-informed framework. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” I approach therapy with the question, “What happened to you?” I recognize that past experiences can shape how we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to stress. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment built on safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and respect, where healing can occur without judgment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply connected. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge self-defeating beliefs, and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. CBT is particularly effective for anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Many people were never taught how to regulate overwhelming emotions, communicate effectively, or cope with distress in healthy ways. Drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I teach practical skills that help clients: • Regulate intense emotions • Improve relationships and communication • Increase mindfulness and present-moment awareness • Tolerate distress without making situations worse • Build confidence and emotional resilience These skills are valuable for adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating conflict, emotional dysregulation, or significant life stress.

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and integrate evidence-based trauma treatment with a holistic framework that considers the connection between mind, body, and relationships. Trauma is not only stored in our thoughts—it is carried in our nervous system. Because of this, I incorporate nervous system regulation, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and strengths-based approaches alongside structured clinical interventions.

Couples Counseling

Healthy relationships require emotional safety, effective communication, and a willingness to understand one another’s experiences. In couples therapy, I help partners move beyond cycles of blame, criticism, defensiveness, and disconnection toward deeper understanding and meaningful repair. Using trauma-informed, attachment-based, CBT, and DBT principles, couples learn to: - Improve communication and conflict resolution - Rebuild trust and emotional intimacy - Understand each other’s attachment styles and emotional needs - Strengthen emotional connection and partnership - Navigate life transitions, parenting challenges, and stress together My goal is not to determine who is right or wrong, but to help each partner feel heard, understood, and equipped with the skills needed to create a healthier relationship.
