My approach to therapy is tailored to your needs. I strive to create a safe, collaborative environment for the exploration of self and relationships, multicultural issues, the healing of past traumas/family issues, depression and stress management strategies. Over the past 20+ years, I have had extensive experience and training in multiple treatment modalities. I have also run extensive workshops and have taught clinicians how to apply mind-body stress reduction techniques.
During our initial session, I hope to get to know clients better--what they are looking for in a therapist, their goals for therapy and their background. I strive to create a safe space where it is clear that you will be a person I look forward to seeing. I will also outline the ways in which the client can work on their goals during the time in-between sessions.
