You deserve to live your life to its fullest potential. With this in mind, I have dedicated over 20 years to working with individuals through collaborative, relational, solution focused, culturally-informed psychotherapy. My areas of focus are rooted in healing the effects of complex childhood family dynamics, addressing lifestyle factors that contribute to anxiety and contemporary stressors. My study and practice also include work with neurodivergence, giftedness and the management of ADHD. Additionally, throughout my career, I have developed and facilitated clinical workshops that address a range of issues, including: Mind/Body Stress Reduction, Lifestyle Balance, Cognitive-Behavioral Strategies, Time Management, and more—each designed to engage and resonate with those who seek depth and complexity in their personal growth.
During our initial session, I hope to get to know you better--what you are looking for in a therapist, your goals for therapy and your background. I strive to create a safe space where you can begin to feel hopeful about the changes that you wish to incorporate into your life.
I would say that my greatest strength is in the ability to see and to bring out greater potential in my clients. My style is relational and yet straight forward. Collaboration is key. I believe that most of the change happens between the sessions, where the individual begins to change the way they see themselves and the way they interact with their lives and their relationships.
I am dedicated to serving the BIPOC population, multicultural and international people. I also have had great rapport with people who have complex childhood or family trauma as part of their experience. My study tends towards the treatment of anxiety spectrum disorders, gifted individuals, victims of narcissistic abuse, and individuals who struggle with ADHD. If you need 1:1 micro-coaching, you may want to look for a coach. My approach is more varied and embedded. In terms of age range, I excel within the ages of 21-60.
When it comes to reducing anxiety, distress and burnout, the mind/body approaches can be quite effective. Throughout the past 20+ years I have run workshops as well have been integrating this approach into my sessions.
