My name is Tyler White, LPC, and I have been providing guidance to others for over 5 years through consultation and therapy (groups and individuals). I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, sport and performance, trauma, self-doubt, grief, and other life changes that causes emotional conflict in life. I work with kids and adults who may be dealing with anxiety, past experiences, or big life changes and want a place to sort through it all. Many of the people I meet with are trying to better understand themselves, improve relationships, or find a clearer path forward when life feels uncertain. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—no pressure, no judgment. Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to, someone who listens closely and genuinely cares about helping them move toward the life they want.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session we will discuss guidelines of therapy, and we will spend time learning about your priorities for seeking support. During our initial session we will figure out together which approach may be best suited for what you would like to get out of therapy. I am very flexible, and knowledgeable in many treatment approaches.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a therapist that is very adaptable to what the client needs. Through learning about each other, we can decide on if you would like for me to hold space and provide light guidance, or if you would like me to challenge your thoughts and beliefs more.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is one who shows up authentically themselves. Therapy is a safe place everyone, and in safe places we are authentically ourselves. My ideal client is someone who hasn't given up on trying to become a better version of themselves. This person understands that we are more capable than we sometimes know and, understands that sometimes we need the support of others to help guide us on our paths. I am an honest therapist, and my ideal client would also be honest, and open to have meaningful conversations. My ideal client will learn to become vulnerable and trust the process. My ideal client will make themselves a priority in their own life and be willing to practice what we discuss outside of our sessions. My clients are ready for change, even if they are unsure of what that change is. My clients are brave and courageous and will continue to be so as we build our relationship together.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

When I've used ACT, I've helped individuals create separation from challenging emotions for the purpose of creating better clarity of a situation. ACT has been able to eliminate the burden of being attached to self-defeating thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By using CBT we will explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all interact with each other, and we'll learn how to create better cycles of communication of the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT has helped past clients how to recognize and adjust when they are acting, thinking, or feeling out of alignment with their true selves.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is heavy on the skill work. We will use DBT to assist you in dealing with big emotions. The skills learned here will be familiar to you, but allows for you to formally, and intentionally, practice throughout the week to overcome distressing times in life.

Family Therapy

Family therapy will examine the roles of each member and how each family member interacts and engages with one another. Family therapy will explore foundational values, expectations, and personal and family goals. Family therapy helps everyone involved get on the same page.

Integrative

Integrative therapy is client-centered and allows me to blend different therapeutic approaches that will be best suited for your goals. By using this overarching technique and customizing treatments, clients have shared how authentic their therapy journey has felt.
