What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I would try to develop a rapport with the client. I would discuss with the client that I would want to conduct an interview about relevant parts of their life. I would explain that this will help me understand the clients perspective. Questions might be health, family history, mental health history, drug history and sources of support. I also would want to discuss why the client wants to do therapy and what their goals are

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think I am able to establish trust with a client. I am very honest and straight forward with clients. I also try to support and encourage my clients when I think its appropriate. I think humor and positive feedback is essential for growth. I also think resilience is possible and that is part of my philosophy as a therapist
