Hi there and welcome! I am so glad you’re here. Do you wonder if therapy is right for you? Do you wonder what it’s all about and think you don’t have problems “bad enough” to be in therapy? I am here to help even if you are not sure yet about the “therapy thing.” I am a strong believer that everyone can grow and learn about themselves through therapy. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or the daily stresses of life, I am here to support you in finding the answers you need to reach your goals. I utilize many modalities and work with you to find the best fit for each individual. I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Task-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Informed CBT, and more. I provide virtual Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to some clients. Please be aware that this requires thorough assessment and planning and is not right for everyone due to me being a virtual provider. Outside of being a provider, I enjoy beach days, true crime documentaries and spending time with my husband, two daughters and our dogs. I love to learn from each of my clients and look forward to getting to know you! I hope to work together to get you where you want to be in life and help you identify the strengths you already have to overcome barriers that life inevitably throws. Let’s get started!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect your first session to be information gathering. I want to learn about you, your story, and what goals you have for yourself. We will work together to come up with a plan of action and next steps to best support your therapy journey. I strive to create a welcoming environment that can be safe, therapeutic and even sometimes fun!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the field with various populations for 10 years, I have learned how to be direct about identify problems and practical solutions. I believe that you should gain something from every session that you can take with you and apply between sessions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Adults with anxiety, depression, stress related to work/relationships, and trauma.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I strongly believe our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are interconnected and must be treated as a system that works together. I use CBT and components of CBT in every session with clients to help clients understand experiences and work towards noticeable change.

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR and use it often to support clients in trauma work. EMDR is not appropriate for everyone but I am always happy to explore the options together.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I strive to give all of my clients practical ways to implement what you are learning in therapy. This often allows for short-term therapy (depending on the goals) and faster results when clients are engaged and willing to apply themselves to problem-solve.

Strength-Based

We all have strengths and can utilize those strengths to reach goals. I aim to focus on natural strengths to make embracing change more comfortable when possible.
