Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, I recieved my Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Arts in Women's Studies. I've been practicing psychotherapy for 11 years now. I understand that mental health challenges can be difficult. I'm here to support women on their journey towards greater well-being. We can work together to build self-esteem and develop healthier coping mechanisms to manage difficult emotions.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked with women for the past 10 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.
I love working with women balancing their daily lives and their mental health. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their future
Tyania McConnell offers therapy covered by Medicaid - Peach State Health Plan and Peach State Health Plan (Managed Medicaid) in Georgia.
My psychotherapy practice is deeply rooted in positive psychology. I believe in fostering a safe and supportive environment built on unconditional positive regard. This allows us to work together to identify your strengths. By offering a fresh perspective on a situation, we can affirm your decision-making process, which can be incredibly helpful in managing the uncomfortable emotions that may arise.
