I’m Dr. Angeanette McCall Nixon, a Clinical Neuropsychologist dedicated to helping people better understand how brain function affects emotions, thinking, and daily living. I specialize in neuropsychological evaluations for children, adults, and seniors dealing with memory, attention, emotional, or behavioral changes. My approach is warm, supportive, and practical, providing clear answers and actionable recommendations to help clients and families navigate complex cognitive and emotional concerns.
In your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive conversation where I’ll listen carefully to your concerns, gather relevant background information, and explain the assessment process in clear, understandable terms. Together, we’ll discuss what brought you in, what you hope to learn, and what steps we’ll take next.
My greatest strengths are my ability to make complex brain and behavior concepts approachable and easy to understand, and my compassionate, practical approach to care. I focus on providing clear answers, thoughtful insights, and actionable recommendations that genuinely help improve quality of life for my clients and their families.
I’m best positioned to serve individuals who are feeling overwhelmed by changes in thinking, memory, attention, or mood — whether those changes are related to brain injuries, neurological conditions, or other life circumstances. I also work with families seeking answers and support for loved ones experiencing cognitive or emotional difficulties.
As a clinical psychologist, I offer integrative therapy, which means I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experience. My approach is rooted in the belief that no single method fits every individual, and effective therapy must be as dynamic and multidimensional as the people I work with.
The flexibility of Solution Focused Brief Treatment therapy allows me to meet clients where they are and adjust our work as they grow and change. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, or life transitions, my goal is to create a collaborative space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered.
