About me

Matthew LaCapria has been working in clinical settings with families, couples, and individuals in the mental health field since 1998. In that time, Matthew has been employed by multiple county contract agiencies, Orange County Health Care Agency, Sober Living by the Sea, and College Hospital Costa Mesa. Working with abused children and some of the the toughest populations, Matthew has gone from a Direct Care Staff, to a Program Supervisor, Therapeutic Behavioral Coach to a Program Therapist, in multiple therapeutic settings, and is now a Private Practioner for self owned Interactive Talk Therapy. Matthew has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Cal State Fullerton, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University graduated in 2010. During this time, Matthew has mastered the ability to provide the guidance, compassion, and empathy necessary to assist with relieving the mental and emotional pain and discomfort of those experiencing or suffering from Depression, Anxiety, and traumatic incidents. Life's struggles can be tough on us. Every day we are dealing with the stressors of relationships, responsibilities, the demands of life, and the stress we put upon ourselves. It takes a toll on us Physically, Mentally, & Emotionally. It is absolutely normal to experience symptoms of Depression &/or Anxiety when we are significantly overwhelmed. You may feel stuck & it is hard to move forward. Talking with a Therapist can help provide you with the symptom relief you need to focus on the things that matter to you the most.
