New to Grow
HI! I'm Amber, I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been a therapist for over 15 years. I help people navigate life’s challenges when things feel overwhelming, stuck, or disconnected. I often work with people experiencing burnout, life transitions, and the stress that comes with managing work, relationships, or parenting—times when a lot is being asked of you and it’s hard to find your footing.
My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth, with a focus on both understanding what’s going on and making practical, sustainable changes. In our work together, there’s space for honesty, curiosity, and a little humor when it fits. I aim to create an environment where you can show up as you are and start to reconnect with yourself in a way that feels real and manageable.
One of my strengths is an eclectic approach to therapy. I don't take a one-size-fits-all approach and I won't just sit back and nod. I focus on helping you understand what's going on while also finding ways to move forward in a way that feels grounded and manageable.
I help people navigate life's challenges through creativity and self-expression. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth, with space for both reflection and practical change. I tend to work well with people who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves and are looking for a different way forward. I make room for curiosity, honesty and a little humor when it fits.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I integrate ideas of diffusion and reducing the "volume" on unhelpful thoughts to reduce distress.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Examining our thoughts, feeling and behaviors is an important aspect of change. I weave this idea throughout my work.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
My approach is solution focused and meeting my clients where they are.
