I'm a Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) based in Georgia. I received my Master's from Walden University and have been practicing for about 4 years. I help young and older adults struggling with mental health issues to become the best versions of themselves.
My clients get adequate time to be listened to, and specific treatment plans tailored to their concerns are formulated and implemented to decrease feelings of being overwhelmed and anxious about their mood and overall mental well-being.
I devote enough time to listening. I devote enough time to get the historical background of my client's symptoms to make an informed treatment plan. I provide holistic care to help determine other causes and effects triggering the client's symptoms.
I love working with children, young adults, and older adults to help them through a customized plan of care to regain their self-image and become mentally liberated.
Motivational Interviewing
As a psychiatric provider, I reserve judgment, listen empathetically, and enhance the patient's motivation to change. The method employed is asking open-ended questions, reflecting on the patient's stated ambivalence, affirming their strengths, and summarizing their thoughts to help them clarify their goals and formulate a plan of care to enhance change.
