New to Grow
Hi, I'm Jill Krayewsky and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals across inpatient, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient settings, working with mental health, substance use, and eating disorders. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps process trauma and distress more efficiently. My style is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client, drawing from CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, and client-centered therapies. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, substance use, and life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to move forward. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly understood. My approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and respect for your unique story. I provide a nonjudgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of criticism or shame. Therapy is a collaborative process, and together we will work to build insight, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. I take an integrative and individualized approach to therapy, meaning your treatment is tailored specifically to your needs and goals. I believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” method, so I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices to support your growth. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and supported throughout your therapeutic journey. Therapy is not just about managing symptoms—it’s about empowering you to better understand yourself, build resilience, and create a more fulfilling life.
In your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. We’ll spend time getting to know what brings you to therapy, exploring your current challenges, and identifying what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll collaborate with you to establish meaningful, realistic goals tailored to your needs, whether that’s improving coping skills, processing past experiences, or creating more balance in your life. My approach is gentle, client-centered, and focused on helping you feel safe, heard, and understood from the very beginning. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of direction and a foundation for moving forward together.
My greatest strengths as a therapist include my ability to quickly establish rapport and build a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in trust, safety, and authenticity. I create a space where client's feel comfortable opening up with me, which allows us to do meaningful, effective work from the start. Clients often share that they feel genuinely understood while also being challenged in meaningful ways that lead to real change. I balance warmth and empathy with direct, honest feedback, helping you move beyond insight and into action. What also sets me apart is the combination of both my professional training and my personal experience in therapy. I’ve been in the client’s seat myself and have done the work to overcome my own challenges, which allows me to connect with clients on a deeper, more genuine level. Alongside that lived experience, I bring the clinical knowledge, education, and skills needed to guide you through your own process of growth and change. My approach balances warmth and empathy with direct, honest feedback. I integrate evidence-based modalities within a highly individualized, client-centered style, tailoring each session to your specific needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. This allows us to move beyond insight and into real, lasting change. As a clinician certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I offer a unique approach that can help clients experience relief more quickly than traditional talk therapy alone. ART allows us to process distressing experiences and shift emotional responses without requiring you to relive painful memories, making it a powerful option for those seeking efficient and meaningful results.
I work with adults (18+) who are navigating substance use disorders, eating disorders, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are professionals managing high levels of stress, pressure, and responsibility while feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. They are often seeking clarity, emotional stability, and meaningful, lasting change. I also have 15 plus years of experience working with client that struggle with substance use disorder, mental health, and eating disorders. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can explore patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with confidence. My approach is tailored to your unique needs and goals, whether you're working toward recovery, improving your relationship with food, or adjusting to a new phase of life. I am also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps process distressing experiences and reduce emotional distress without requiring you to relive or extensively talk through painful memories. ART can help you experience relief more quickly, making it especially effective for trauma and long-standing emotional patterns.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered therapy approach, meaning that you are the expert on your own life and experiences. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we focus on your goals, values, and strengths, allowing your insight and growth to guide the direction of our work.
Psychodynamic
I use a psychodynamic approach, which focuses on understanding how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be influencing your current thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Together, we explore recurring themes, emotional responses, and relational dynamics to gain deeper insight into what may be happening beneath the surface. This process can help increase self-awareness, resolve internal conflicts, and support more meaningful and lasting change. I also incorporateI the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in conjunction with psychodynamic, which focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and beliefs that may be contributing to distress, and work to challenge and reframe them in more balanced, realistic ways. I also incorporate practical tools and strategies you can use in your daily life to support lasting change and improve overall well-being.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
In my practice, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which helps you build practical skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and cope with distress in healthier ways. We focus on areas like mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. This approach balances acceptance and change—supporting you in understanding your experiences while also developing tools to create meaningful, lasting improvements in your life.
Trauma Informed Care
I utilize a trauma-informed approach, which means I recognize how past experiences may impact your current thoughts, emotions, and sense of safety. I prioritize creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and empowering, where you are in control of the pace and depth of our work. We focus on building trust, increasing awareness, and developing coping strategies, while being mindful to avoid re-traumatization and honor your autonomy throughout the process.
