Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from St. Edwards University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I help individuals struggling with trauma, PTSD, and substance abuse. I also work with young females who experience low self worth, self esteem and shame. I strive to help clients become the best versions of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you may have. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with treating PTSD, trauma and low self worth over the past decade I've developed a great skill in assisting you in identifying the root cause of your challenges as well as helping you calm your nervous system allowing you to find calmness an peace.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young adults particularly young females who are experiencing low self worth and low self esteem. I also love working with individuals who are experiencing PTSD and trauma. It is a great joy to see a client recovery and then thrive from their traumatic past.

My treatment methods

EMDR

Hi, I utilize EMDR in combination with somatic experience. Trauma is certainly stored in the body and I work on both, mind and body. When working with clients I focus on both the cognitions (images, thoughts, etc) as well as physical discomfort. I have been using EMDR for approximately 8 years and have witnessed the powerful and beneficial results this treatment method can provide.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Often times the body reacts (perhaps poor sleep, flashbacks, hyper vigilance) Utilizing Cognitive Processing Therapy allows the brain to remain "online" rather than going into fight, flight, freeze. When the brain is able to remain "online" we can process through the traumatic events which occurred, change the narrative and begin to heal.
