I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and older adults navigate mental health challenges. I’ve worked in a range of settings, from inpatient crisis units to the Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team to private practice—supporting individuals at every stage of life, from early intervention to complex, long-term care. My approach is straightforward and balanced. I use medication when it’s helpful, but not as a default. I also focus on sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, and stress management so we’re not just managing symptoms—we’re improving overall well-being. Clients often tell me I’m easy to talk to, non-judgmental, and genuinely invested in helping them feel better. My goal is simple: to help you feel more stable, clear, and in control—without overcomplicating the process.
Our first session is focused on understanding you—not rushing to a diagnosis. We’ll talk through what’s been going on, your background, and what you’d like to improve. I tailor the conversation depending on your stage of life—whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, a teen navigating challenges, or an adult managing stress, mood, or focus. You can expect a relaxed, conversational approach where you feel heard and supported. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what’s going on and a plan with practical next steps.
My strengths include: • Helping people feel comfortable quickly—even in difficult conversations • Creating clear, realistic treatment plans • Managing both acute situations and long-term care • Knowing when medication helps—and when it doesn’t I combine traditional psychiatry with integrative strategies, including lifestyle, nutrition, and mindfulness when appropriate, so care is both effective and sustainable.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite like themselves. This may look like anxiety that won’t shut off, low mood, difficulty focusing, or just feeling out of balance and unsure where to start. My approach is practical and individualized. I use medication when it’s helpful, but not as a default. I also incorporate lifestyle, nutrition, and mindfulness strategies when appropriate—so we’re not just managing symptoms, we’re improving how you function day to day. I work best with people who want a thoughtful, realistic plan and are open to understanding what’s actually driving their symptoms—not just quick fixes. If you’re looking for someone who will listen, be straightforward with you, and help you move forward in a way that makes sense for your life, we’ll likely be a good fit.

Motivational Interviewing
By being client centered, motivational interviewing utilizes reflective listening and empathy to build rapport, while acting as as a guide who helps clients uncover their own motivation for change. This approach help clients embrace lifestyle changes (nutrition, sleep hygiene, stress management) and support medication adherence while respecting holistic preferences.
Mind-body approach
Mental health and physical health are deeply interconnected, and true healing happens when both are addressed together. In my practice, I take a comprehensive mind-body approach by integrating modern psychiatry with evidence-based wellness strategies. This includes nutrition, gut health optimization, exercise, breathwork, and stress management techniques to support overall well-being. I help clients understand how factors like inflammation, hormone imbalances, and nutrient deficiencies can impact mood, focus, and energy levels. By incorporating functional medicine, nutritional psychiatry, and mindfulness-based techniques, I create personalized treatment plans that go beyond medication—empowering clients to restore balance and take control of their mental health.

Every time I speak with him. I can tell he genuinely cares about my wellbeing he is sympathetic and tremendously clever And makes me feel good after we speak. He is so far the best psychiatrist I had the pleasure to have met in the US.

Probably one of the most personable and intelligent guys I've ever had the opportunity to speak to. He is genuinely willing to work with you on whatever you're struggling with and tackles the issues one at a time to ensure that you're getting the right treatment. I've had amazing conversations with him outside of psychiatry and within the world of psychology as a whole, he's likely one of the most knowledgeable people you'll meet.

He helped me during a dark time in my life. Finding myself, taking care of myself and doing things for me has been a big challenge. Thankful for all of his knowledge and humor.
