I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a strengths-based, relational approach to therapy. My practice is rooted in the belief that people are doing the best they can with what they’ve got—and that with the right support, tools, and connection, meaningful change is always possible. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of challenges including feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. Many of my clients are coping with anxiety, depression, attention-related struggles, or relationship stress, and are looking for ways to feel more in control, confident, and connected. I also have extensive experience supporting parents, members of the LGBTQ+ community, healthcare professionals, first responders, and individuals impacted by adoption, foster care, or complex family dynamics. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, relational and insight-oriented approaches, multicultural frameworks, and strengths-based support to tailor each session to your goals and values. I bring curiosity, humor, and compassion into the room—and I take your trust seriously. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s broken—it’s about helping you better understand yourself, deepen your relationships, and build a life that feels more aligned. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. You just have to be ready to begin.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll focus on creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. I’ll begin by inviting you to share what’s bringing you to therapy—whether it’s a specific issue, a general feeling of being stuck or overwhelmed, or a desire to better understand yourself or your relationships. There’s no right or wrong way to start, and you’re welcome to share at your own pace. I’ll ask questions to get a fuller picture of your background, what’s been working (and what hasn’t), and what kind of support you’re looking for. We might explore your experiences with stress, family, work, or identity—whatever feels most relevant to you. If you’re not totally sure what your goals are yet, that’s okay. We’ll work together to start shaping them. I also use the first session to explain how therapy works, what you can expect from me, and how we’ll check in about progress. I’ll answer any questions you have about the process, confidentiality, or anything else that comes up. My approach is collaborative—I see you as the expert in your own life, and I’m here to support your insight, growth, and healing. Most importantly, you can expect to be met with curiosity, compassion, and zero judgment. Whether you’re feeling anxious, uncertain, or just ready for something different, the first session is a step toward clarity and connection—and we’ll take it together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. I bring warmth, clarity, and grounded insight to each session, helping clients feel both safe and challenged in the ways that support growth. Whether someone is navigating deep emotional pain or just trying to get unstuck, I meet them where they are—with curiosity, compassion, and a deep belief in their capacity for change. I don’t just offer tools; I offer connection, perspective, and a space where people can feel more like themselves again.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I’m best positioned to support clients who are navigating emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, identity questions, or persistent patterns that feel hard to change. Many of the people I work with are managing anxiety, low mood, or focus difficulties while juggling the demands of work, caregiving, or complex family systems. I work especially well with clients who are open to reflection, motivated for change—even if unsure where to start—and looking for a therapist who brings warmth, insight, and practical tools. I also have particular experience supporting those with marginalized identities, high-responsibility roles (like parenting or healthcare work), and those impacted by adoption, trauma, or identity transitions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps clients recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. I use it because it’s practical, structured, and evidence-based. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and build skills that support more balanced thinking and meaningful change.

Relational

Our sense of self is shaped by relationships and past experiences. I use a relational approach to explore how early patterns and attachment dynamics may influence present challenges. Healing often begins in a supportive therapeutic relationship where clients can build insight and self-compassion.

Strength-Based

I believe every person brings resilience, creativity, and inner strengths to the table. This approach focuses on identifying what’s already working and expanding those resources to support growth. It’s collaborative, empowering, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change starts with honoring your existing strengths.

Multicultural

Cultural identity and lived experience are central to how we understand ourselves and navigate the world. My graduate training emphasized multicultural practice, and I have extensive experience working with clients from a wide range of racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I strive to provide affirming, culturally responsive care where all aspects of identity are welcomed, respected, and integrated into the therapeutic process.
