James E. Watkins III
My name is James E. Watkins III. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia (LPC) and a Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS). I am also a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH). I worked in an outpatient mental health center in Douglas County from 2000 to 2014 doing individual, group, couples/marital and family counseling. I also maintained a private practice starting in 2004 and now I am doing that full time via Telehealth/Zoom Pro.
First session
In our first session you can expect to discuss informed consent for services, confidentiality and other legal and ethical concerns. You will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counseling process. Then you will have the opportunity to talk about your motivation for seeking counseling and your goals for treatment.
Strengths
I work with clients who have Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Phobia, Panic Disorder (with and without agoraphobia) and Grief and loss, to name just a few.
