(she/her)
I’m Rebecca Buch, MS, LMHC, NPT-C, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and trauma therapist based in Jacksonville, Florida. I help individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. If you're struggling to bring balance back into your life or feeling helpless in your relationships, you're not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I work with clients navigating a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), parenting and co-parenting challenges, and LGBTQIA2+ issues. My approach is grounded in compassion, clinical expertise, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey. Together, we’ll explore not just what’s happening in your life—but why—so that you can make lasting, meaningful change. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, where we build trust, identify your goals, and create a path forward toward healing, clarity, and growth. My experience includes inpatient and outpatient mental health care, school-based mental health counseling, crisis mental health services in an emergency room setting, and group practice. I have the flexibility to meet your needs. We can meet at my office or from the comfort and convenience of your home, dorm room, or your private office; I can bring my services to you via telehealth with a user-friendly portal you can access on your phone/smart device, or computer. Never miss an appointment with the option of text and email reminders.
Our first session, known as the intake, is a time for us to begin building a foundation of trust. During this session, I’ll learn more about what brought you to counseling and gather a comprehensive biopsychosocial history—an overview of your life experiences, relationships, physical and emotional health, and more. This session is not meant to be emotionally intense; rather, it offers you the space to get to know me, ask questions, and ease into the therapeutic process. It’s the first step in creating a safe, supportive environment for your healing and growth.
I specialize in supporting individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome (Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1), high emotional reactivity, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I bring a grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to help clients better understand their emotional world, manage distress, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. I also find great joy in working with individuals facing academic or employment-related stress. Whether you're navigating school pressures, workplace challenges, or exploring a new career direction, I’m here to help you clarify your goals and move forward with purpose. Guiding clients through these transitions is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I am best positioned to support individuals who are open to self-exploration and willing to try new approaches to create meaningful change in their lives. My ideal client is curious—not just about how they think, feel, and behave, but about the why behind those patterns. Whether rooted in recent trauma, long-held life experiences, or intergenerational behaviors passed down through families, we work together to uncover and transform these narratives. My approach draws from CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy, helping clients navigate both current challenges and deeper, often buried wounds from the past. I specialize in supporting those ready to move toward healing, clarity, and personal growth.
