Hello, I am Jayne, Have you experienced something frightening happen to you that even when you try hard, you still think about it? Does it keep you up at night? Does it make it hard to concentrate? Are you feeling overwhelmed with anxiety and/or depression? Sometimes when frightening things happen we have a hard time letting go. This is where therapy can help. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder can happen to all of us. It can happen from something we experience or what is called secondary trauma, from witnessing something that happening to someone else. I would be honored to help you as you move through time in your life to empower you to be the best version of you!
In our first session we will have a brief introduction. It is important for me to understand how your mental health has impacted you and what you have tried in the past to help. We will move on from there to identify what the best modality of treatment we can use to provide the best outcome.
I am trained in Eye Movememtn Desensititation Realization (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused CBT to help process traumatic events with adults and teens. I want to meet you where you are at. I enjoy helping others to reach their potential. I use active listening skills and post questions to help you see a new perspective. I try to make keen observations of your body language to help better understand you and help you better understand yourself. I hope to make it easy for your to talk to me allowing you to feel at ease when sharing difficult information. I will honor your time and be prepared to give you all of my attention. Most importantly I believe in you and the person you want to be. I would be honored to walk with you on this journey.
