About me

Hi, I’m Ashlee Hendrix, LCSW-C, and I’ve been helping clients navigate life’s challenges for over 7 years. I use a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and psychoeducation to make sure we’re tackling the heart of what’s going on in a way that feels approachable. I work with clients on everything from life transitions and parenting to managing anxiety, depression, and navigating women’s issues. My style is energetic, empathetic, and compassionate—I believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy to get to the hard stuff. You can expect a supportive, empathetic, and relatable experience, where we work together to find the best solutions for you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, expect a warm, welcoming space where you can be yourself—no judgment, just understanding. I’ll take the time to get to know you and hear your story, so we can figure out together what’s been going on and what you’re hoping to work on. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. I know it can be a little nerve-wracking to start therapy, but my goal is to make this feel like a safe, supportive experience, and even a bit fun as we dive into what’s important to you. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your needs and helps you start feeling better.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths lie in my ability to build strong, trusting relationships with my clients and create a safe, supportive environment where they feel comfortable exploring their challenges. I’m an empathetic listener, which helps me truly understand each client’s unique experience and tailor my approach to their needs. My focus on collaboration means we work together to set clear, achievable goals, and I’m there every step of the way to provide guidance, encouragement, and tools to help clients make meaningful progress. I also strive to keep therapy approachable and relatable, making it easier for clients to engage in the work, even when it gets tough.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve individuals navigating life transitions, such as changes in relationships, careers, or personal growth. I work well with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, and stress, as well as those facing challenges related to parenting or women’s issues. My approach is particularly effective for those who want a blend of practical strategies, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with compassionate support. If you’re looking for a collaborative, empathetic space where we can break through the tough stuff together, I’m here to help you move forward in a way that feels approachable and empowering.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, as well as strengthen coping skills for managing stress, anxiety, and depression. I also incorporate person-centered techniques, ensuring that our work is collaborative and grounded in your personal goals. My aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment where we can explore challenges, build resilience, and work toward lasting change.

Psychoeducation

I prioritize psychoeducation as a core component of my practice. I work with clients to provide clear, understandable information about mental health, coping strategies, and the impact of thoughts and behaviors on emotional well-being. By helping you better understand your own experiences and mental health, I aim to empower you to make informed decisions about your care and develop skills to manage stress, emotions, and life challenges more effectively. This educational approach fosters a sense of control and confidence as we work together on your personal growth.

I had my first session today and felt immediately seen and supported. My therapist is a brilliant Black woman—intelligent, grounded, funny, and honest. She created space for me to show up as me—not as a therapist, mom, wife, or caregiver. I’m grateful for the chance to explore who I am in this next stage of life and to just
