During this phase of therapy, we will do a biopsychosocial assessment to explore your history and what may be contributing to your present issues. We will discuss your medical history, mental health history, sexual and relationship history and possibly more when appropriate. Recommendations will be made to supplement your treatment, and a treatment plan will be created based on your assessment and your ideal goals.
My strengths include being compassion focused while maintaining a direct approach within reason to guide you through your sessions to achieve your clinical goals. I am strong with CBT and DBT skills, mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic approaches. I am excellent and helping non-talkings find their voice especially if they are too afraid to talk.
My ideal client is someone seeking to not only heal, but to also understand what is contributing to their present and past issues. I also work with people seeking to understand their identity and expression. I enjoy working with people who have issues that they struggle talking about with others and may be avoidant due to the shame and guilt connected to whatever they are experiencing or struggling with. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to explore, grow, heal, and transform into your authentic self.
